The flooring in the East and West Stands is now well underway, with the concrete base having been put down in both during the course of this week.

By Friday afternoon, the concrete floor had been put down in what will be the East Stand concourses, concessions and toilet areas,.

And it had also been laid in the southern half of the West Stand ground floor, which will house the U's adminstration offices, the Ticket Office, reception and club shop.

The work is also well underway on the first floor of the West Stand, which will accommodate the corporate hospitality area.

Following the plastic sheeting having been laid down last week, the concrete is poured into metal mesh grids and, once it is set, polished to a finish.

The cladding has also been added to the sides of the West Stand, continuing the excellent progress on this stand.
