Pat Set For Shoulder Op
U's defender Pat Baldwin is set for an extended spell on the sidelines as he prepares for a shoulder operation in the coming days.
The long serving centre half lasted just six minutes at West Brom on Saturday and, having dislocated his shoulder at The Hawthorns, is looking towards the early part of next season to be back up and running.
Reflecting on the incident that has caused him his troubles, he told CU-FC.com: "Basically, it happened in the first few minutes.
"They had a corner and, as the ball came in, their man looked like he might get a free header, so I got a hand on his shoulder to stop him jumping.
"As he leapt up, it pulled my hand and then pulled the shoulder out of its socket.
"It is annoying, but it is a part of football I guess and there are certainly other players who get the more serious injuries.
"It is not the end of the world, and I am sure that I will be coming back fitter and stronger."
Pat's injury is the U's fifth dislocation of an injury hit season and he talks further about his stop start season and the aims for 2008/9 in this Saturday's U's Review.
Pat's fellow defender Chris Coyne is 250/1 to score the first goal in a 2-1 U's win on Saturday. To place your bets, click HERE.
