With the move to the new stadium drawing nearer by the day, preparations are now well underway to get the U's across to the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

The past few days has seen the club's administration staff beginning to pack away files and paperwork that will be taken across to the new stadium.

Computers and electrical equipment is also due to be put in special storage boxes as the mass redeployment of staff moves nearer.

Whilst those pieces will be taken across to the Weston Homes Community Stadium, the club will of course be leaving many items of office equipment behind when they move to the other side of town.

The office furniture that is left behind will become part of the auction due to take place at Layer Road this coming weekend.

Over 500 lots will be going under the hammer as the club sell off parts of their historic ground to the highest bidder.

The auction catalogue has proven to be a big talking point amongst supporters and many fans are already registering their interest in the auction, which starts at 11am on Sunday.

Further details of how the move will affect supporters and external business will go live on the website soon, so stay tuned for all of the latest news.
