U's Stars Back YES
Colchester United players Kevin McLeod and Jamie Guy were quickly into their Sunday best after the 2-2 draw at Layer Road against Chalton Athletic as they attending a Charity Ball at the Marks Tey Hotel.
It was held to raise money for the Youth Enquiry Service, (YES), and the two U's stars helped the total raised on the night reach £4,850.
Each player offered their services in the auction for a future appearance and some fierce bidding saw Kevin and Jamie go for a combined total of over £600.
YES is a charity based in Crouch Street in Colchester which supports young people in crisis and relies heavily on fund raising events like the Summer Ball.
Jane Blomeley, from YES, told CU-FC.com: "Without the support of businesses around the Colchester area, we would not be able to stage this event and we really are very grateful. The evening was a great success and we raised nearly £5,000 thanks to everybody's generosity."
