Aidan Davison
AIDAN DAVISON: Receives his complimentary fruit!

Colchester United goalkeeper Aidan Davison was presented with a very special delivery on Friday afternoon, to help him with his favourite recipe.

During the course of the season, Aidan has regularly produced batches of banana bread to take on the U's away trips and it has taken on something of folklore status as 2004/5 has developed.

The experienced shot stopper has guarded the recipe with his life, however, and the secret of the Davison Banana Bread remains one that mystifies the rest of the squad.

It appears that the trip to Huddersfield Town on April 16th will see a further batch of banana bread after Aidan was presented with a whopping 40lb box of bananas by leading suppliers Windward Bananas.

Mark Sapsford, a U's fan who works for Windward, came down to the ground after training to give Aidan his special gift - and the U's shot stopper promised that, by the time the team head to Yorkshire next week, vast quantities of banana bread will have been produced!

The bananas!
BANANA TIME: Anyone fancy some delicious fruit?

The Windward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean have been supplying bananas to UK supermarkets for more than 50 years, they are grown in a tropical climate conducive for banana growing, ultimately providing a sweet and tasty fruit.

The main objective of Windwards Bananas is to return a fair price to all farmers and growers for their bananas

Windwards Bananas can be found both locally and nationally in leading supermarkets - and we thank them very much for their support!
