Following the weekend win over Barnsley, three of the U's heroes headed to the Greenstead area of Colchester to visit the kids at the Community Centre.
Kem Izzet, Karl Duguid and Jamie Cureton were the centre of attention as over 100 children from the area came down to the centre to say hello and take part in some footballing activities.
The U's trio gave some tips as the kids enjoyed a game of football in the centre's sports hall, before they took time out for a Q&A session and a chance for a breather.

Once the questions were done and dusted, the boys were mobbed once again for autographs as the local stars grabbed the limelight.
Doogie said afterwards: "It was great, we really enjoyed it - it's good to meet so many of the kids and I think that they appreciated seeing us up there.

"It is good to be involved in something like that, so many of the families there pay to come and watch us play, so it was good to put a smile on their face."
The players also sold copies of their charity CD for the Teenage Cancer Trust and, although it is too early for exact figures, the afternoon is thought to have raised at least £300.
