U's midfielder Kem Izzet admitted he was delighted to have grabbed a useful point at Watford on Saturday.

The U's came from behind to take the lead and Kem was pleased with the improved display.

He told the Colchester Gazette: "We might have won the game but they missed the penalty and Deano made a few great saves so a point is probably a fair result for us," said Izzet, who supplied the assists for both of the U's goals.

"They will probably look at the game and think that they deserved to win.

"But to go to a place like Vicarage Road and create the chances that we did was very good.

"We expected to be under pressure at some points in the game but I think we were worth our point.

"The Watford result has given us a big boost going into the international break.

"We're three undefeated now, albeit three draws, but we'll build on it now and we'll take the positives."
