Teddy's Disappointment At Drop

U's striker Teddy Sheringham has admitted his disappointment at the Layer Road side dropping back down to League One.
The U's will finish bottom of the Championship this season and Teddy told the Colchester Gazette: "It's been disappointing for the last two or three months with us being relegated and it's been a sad season.

"It never really got going, even though it started quite well.
"I'm very disappointed with the way it's gone.

"But I've had a lot of good ones over the years and I suppose it just tells me that it's the right time to retire.
"And I don't regret coming to Colchester United.
"The lads are great here, the manager is a very nice man and he's talked me through everything he's been doing this year and looked after me.
"It's just that I couldn't produce and we couldn't produce as a team and that's the disappointing thing."
