Promotion The Summer By-Word
With the season now at a close, boss Geraint Williams has urged fans and players alike to prepare for a promotion push when the football gets underway again in August.
Relegation brings disappointment but the U's boss insists he is already working hard to get the team ready for a battle at the right end of the table next year.
He told myfootballwriter.com: "We've just said that from now on the word is promotion, all through the summer. We'll be meeting up next week, players will be given their out of season programmes to do so that we can come back fighting fit ready to start next year.
"Now we go back and watch all the videos and DVDs of players, we go and watch the play-off semi-finals and see what players are available and see what we can do," he added on his personal regime.
"Then we watch the videos all through the summer to see what won League One, because we want to play like that.
"To be fair from people I've talked to, Swansea are a very good footballing side and so are Nottingham Forest - and they've both gone straight up - so that gives me hope that you can go into League One, play good football and get promoted."
