Highly rated young goalkeeper who was crowned Young Player of the Year in 2006/7 for his efforts between the sticks in the club's debut season in the Championship.
He had to be patient for his chance of first team action, but came in for the final three games of 2005/6 and put in three superb displays to help the U's over the finishing line to Championship football.
His ever developing talents have seen him become a regular in the first team and he signed a new extended contract in the summer of 2007 to stay at Layer Road and develop what is promising to be a hugely exciting career in the game.
