Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder who joined the U's in the summer of 2006, following a previous loan spell with the U's back in 2003.
He had since been out on loan at the likes of Derby County and Coventry City and, having been released by Spurs last season, the U's moved in quickly to snap up the creative midfielder.
He scored his first Colchester goal in the 2-1 home defeat to West Brom in February 2007 and will be hoping to establish himself as a strong regular in the side in the coming season.
