Winger Mark Yeates will be a familiar figure to most Colchester United followers, having returned to the U's following a loan spell in the 2005/6 promotion season.
The tricky Irishman came through the ranks at Tottenham Hotspur, enjoying a loan spell with Brighton & Hove Albion before making his debut at the end of the 2003/4 season.
That was a match against Wolves and the wide man set up the first goal in a 2-0 win for the White Hart Lane club.
The next season saw him head to Swindon on loan, where match time was limited before he returned to Spurs and made a solitary appearance against Chelsea in the Premiership - a team against whom he would later impress in U's colours.
The following campaign was when Yeatesy and the U's first made acquaintances, the flying winger signing a year's loan deal under Phil Parkinson's tenure.
He was a near ever present for the club in that historic promotion season, playing 44 times in the league scoring five goals as his part of lifting the U's into the Championship.
His season ended prematurely as he dislocated his shoulder celebrating his fifth goal, the decider in a big win over Rotherham at Layer Road.
The U's attempted to get Yeatesy back again in the summer of 2006 but his displays during his loan spell - in the latter part in particular - encouraged Hull to take him to the KC Stadium, again for a temporary spell.
It was to turn out to be a frustrating season - limited displays under Parkinson at Hull saw him switch to Leicester during the January transfer window and he made an immediate impression with the Foxes.
He scored with his first touch in the match against Luton and went on to make nine appearances between February and the end of the season.
In some respects, it is a homecoming for the young Irishman, who has made well over half of his career appearances in Colchester United colours.
Now a full time U's player, he will be hoping to make a big impression once again.
