Vastly experienced goalkeeper who joined the U's from Grimsby Town to reunite with former team-mate and then manager Phil Parkinson.
Having played in the top flight for Bolton Wanderers and Bradford City, Aidan arrived as the new number one at Layer Road as well as taking on a coaching capacity to develop the career of young shot stopper Dean Gerken and has been a hugely important member of the squad.
He will be staying around a little longer, as well, after penning a new contract in January 2007 to stay with the U's and will be keeping Deano on his toes in the race for the goalkeeper shirt.
