In the build-up to the 2008/9 campaign, the U's will be travelling across East Anglia and beyond during pre-season.

Early games against non-league opposition will be followed by three games against football League clubs, including Championship side Norwich City.

A variety of opposition has been selected by Geraint Williams and the U's boss told CU-FC.com that he was pleased that the pre-season had been confirmed so early.

"I'm delighted to have our pre-season schedule completed already and with us not being able to hold any home games, I'm pleased with the strength of the opposition we have secured, culminating with visits to Luton and Norwich before the start of the season," he said.

Geraint and his squad get pre-season underway with a short trip to Heybridge Swifts and then take on Woking and Chelmsford in consecutive days.

Visits to League Two clubs, Dagenham and Redbridge and Luton Town follow and Bromley host the U's in the penultimate game of pre-season.

A trip to Carrow Road to take on Norwich City completes the U's travels before the U's prepare for their new season with a prestige friendly against Athletic Bilbao on the Monday before the season starts.
